Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using YIELD ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

YIELD is a pour-over coffee brewing journal application for iOS. The App allows you to:

Track and log pour-over coffee brews
Store information about coffee beans
Create and manage brewing recipes
Connect to Bluetooth coffee scales
Sync data across your devices via iCloud

License

YIELD grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the App only for its intended purpose
Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
Not use the App for any unlawful purpose
Be responsible for maintaining the security of your device

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YIELD AND ITS DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

This includes, but is not limited to: loss of data, loss of profits, device damage, and coffee brewing outcomes.

Coffee Brewing Disclaimer

YIELD provides tools for tracking and timing coffee brewing. The App does not guarantee specific brewing results. Coffee quality depends on many factors outside the App's control, including bean quality, water quality, equipment, and technique.

Third-Party Services

Apple iCloud: If you use iCloud sync, your use is subject to Apple's terms of service
Bluetooth Scales: The App connects to third-party Bluetooth scales. We are not responsible for the functionality or accuracy of these devices

Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
