Frequently Asked Questions

How do focus sessions work?

Tap "Focus" on any task to start a timed session. Choose 15, 25, 45, or 60 minutes, or go open-ended. Your timer appears in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen. When the timer ends, you can mark the task complete or keep going.

What are micro-actions?

Micro-actions are small, specific steps that make up a larger task. Instead of "Write report," you might have "Open document," "Write introduction," and "Review draft." Drift helps you focus on one micro-action at a time.

How does energy matching work?

Each day, select how you're feeling: Gentle (low energy), Steady (moderate), or Let's Go (high energy). Drift then suggests tasks that match your current energy level, so you're never fighting against how you feel.

The Live Activity isn't showing

Check that Live Activities are enabled: Settings > Drift > Live Activities. Also ensure you haven't disabled Dynamic Island or Lock Screen activities in your iPhone settings.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual tasks by swiping left on them. To delete all data, uninstall the app — all data is stored locally and will be removed.

The app crashed or isn't working

Try closing and reopening the app. If issues persist, try restarting your iPhone. If problems continue, please contact us with details about what happened and your iPhone model/iOS version.
